Modelling group dynamics for crowd simulations

Abstract This paper investigates a new method to simulate pedestrian crowd movement in large and complex virtual environment, representing public space such as shopping mall. To demonstrate dynamics, we consider groups of pedestrians different size, sharing crowded environment. A has its own characteristics, gender , age position velocity energy . The proposed uses multi-group microscopic model generate real-time trajectories for all people moving the defined Additionally, dynamic is introduced modelling group behaviour. Based on method, each can continuously adjust their attributes optimize path towards desired visiting targets, while avoiding obstacles other pedestrians.
